With so many ladders to choose from, it’s not easy to ensure that you use the right one for the job. To make it easier, we have listed out the most common of our ladders with the reasons you might want to use them.
Extension ladders: reaching up to 12m high, they are ideal for cleaning out the gutters or doing some DIY. Avialablle in 2 or 3 sections, they take up less storage space whilst affording you access to the same height.
Step ladders: free standing and with or without a platform, they may also be known as builder’s steps. They make it possible to work for a longer period of time at height.
Combination ladders: one of our favourites. They are so useful. They can be used either as steps or as an extension ladder. They are free standing and in the shape of an A but allow you to reach up higher than the average step ladder. They can also handle different levels of ground with ease.
Telescopic ladders: designed to reach a height of 3.8metres, they can be extended using a rung at a time. They fit snugly into the boot so that you can travel with a telescopic ladder without needing to use a roof rack.
Multi-Purpose ladders: configurable for any purpose, they can be put into a range of situations. They might be used as a step ladder with platform or as an extension ladder. If you have the space and need for only one ladder, then this might be your perfect match.
Roof ladders: equipped with a hook to secure the ladder to the roof, they offer a safer way to work on the roof. Fitted with bearer bars, the weight is spread so that tiles are protected and you are kept safer.
Work platforms: designed to be more comfortable when working at a slightly increased height, such as when painting. They are also available in fibreglass to suit electricians.
Warehouse steps: normally fitted with wheels, warehouse steps offer a more permanent solution to the need for a step ladder. Available from 2 tread to 15 tread and may be equipped with a guard rail around the platform.
Hopefully this little guide will help you choose the right ladder for your task at hand, but if you do have any questions, please feel free to ring one of our experienced team who will be happy to help.
