Little did they know that the idyllic looking field they had chosen was also a favourite A cartoon wolf wearing a top hat and red dungarees.hunting ground for the local big bad wolf and as night fell the wolf emerged from his den in the woods and sniffed the air. “I smell something TASTY!” exclaimed the wolf as the breeze wafted the scent of the three little pigs straight into his nostrils. The big bad wolf had dreamed of eating pork for many years, but the electric fences at all the local farms had thwarted his efforts thus far. He had even tried using a ladder to climb over the fences, but being a wolf, he didn’t realise that metal ladders conduct electricity and had singed his tail quite badly. If he had thought to use a fibreglass ladder our piggies would have been safe!

The big bad wolf prowled through the woods, looking for the source of the glorious smell of pork. He soon came to the edge of the woods and saw the three homes in the beautiful field, smoke rising gently from the chimney of the biggest one. The big bad wolf fancied his chances at the house made of straw and went up to the door opening. The wolf snarled, “let me in, little pig! Let me in!” and Jeremy, being very scared, cried out “not by the hairs on my chinny chin chin!”. “Open up or I’ll huff, and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!” growled the wolf, and Jeremy cowered as far from the door as he could get, sorry he hadn’t used his brother’s ladder to help him build a stronger house.

The big bad wolf began to huff, and he puffed, and he huffed and he puffed and he blew down the house of straw. Jeremy sprinted from the wreckage of his new home and ran straight to George’s house of sticks. He banged on the door and George let his brother in. “George, George!” cried Jeremy, “there’s a big bad wolf out there and he blew my house down, I think he wants to eat me!”.

The big bad wolf outside snarled, “Let me in, little pigs! Let me in!” and the two piggy brothers cried back “Not by the hairs on our chinny chin chin!”. “Open up or I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!” growled the wolf, and the two piggy brothers cowered in the corner. The big bad wolf began to huff and puff and huff and puff until the whole house was creaking. One final puff saw the house of sticks torn apart, and the two little pigs sprinted straight to the house of bricks.

The two little pigs banged on the door and Thomas let them in. “Thomas, Thomas!” cried the two little pigs, “there’s a big bad wolf out there and he blew down our houses. We think he wants to eat us!” they squealed out in unison. Before Thomas could question his brothers further, there was an insistent banging at the door and the big bad wolf snarled through the letterbox, “Let me in, little pigs! Let me in!”. The three little pigs shouted back “Not by the hairs on our chinny chin chin!”. “Fine!” he shouted back, “I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!”.

So the wolf huffed and he puffed, and he huffed and puffed, but the house of bricks made with the proper safety equipment and ladders stood strong and firm and he could not get in. He was getting pretty out of breath by this point: it wasn’t normally so difficult to get a good meal in the forest and these three little pigs were testing him to his limit.

Spying the dismantled scaffold tower at the side of the house (the multi ladder had been put away) the wolf set about putting it back up: if he couldn’t blow this house down he’d get in another way. and he built the scaffold tower up until it reached the chimney.

Thomas saw what was going on and set a big cooking pot on the fire, filled it with boiling water and threw in some vegetables and herbs. Jeremy and George wondered whether now was a good time to be thinking about food, as they were in danger of becoming wolf food themselves! Thomas told them not to worry, and the three little pigs sat and watched the roaring flames and bubbling stew.

The big bad wolf had no idea what was going on in the house below, as he climbed onto the roof (with no thought to using roof ladders) and looked down the chimney. Even the smell of the vegetable stew did not distract him, for he had the scent of pork in his nose and was focused on nothing else. The big bad wolf slipped down the chimney stealthily, very quietly chuckling to himself about how good his plan was, and how much he was looking forward to roast pork for dinner.

So distracted was the wolf that he did not notice his tail getting very hot and very wet, A cartoon wolf climbing into a soup pot.nor his back legs, and before he knew what was happening he had fallen into the cooking pot and was becoming dinner for the three little pigs. Thomas put the lid on the pot and weighed it down with some spare bricks. The three little pigs sighed with relief, and waited for their first meal of delicious wolf stew.

As they ate, the three little pigs decided they would be better off all living in the big brick house where it was safer, so the next day they got out the multi-purpose ladder and used the straw and sticks to build a wolf-proof fence around the house, so they never need worry about the big bad wolf again.
