Ordered roof ladder to be delivered to my holiday home and needed on a specific day. Phoned to check stock and confirm arrangements then placed order on line. Great service,packed well,product works great. Instructions a bit sketchy. It would be easy to put the base platforms on upside down. Also hinges lock really positively which is what's needed in a fold-able ladder, but it might help with a longer lever to get hold of when operating the hinges,,just a suggestion. These were the best on price, I was kept informed on the process of my order, when my ladders arrived they were well packaged. 'Hi-Step' MAXI from HENCHMAN is the result of listening to the needs of our customers over the years as it became evident that there wasn't a suitably safe and stable step ladder available for hedge trimming, pruning, fruit picking etc.

The HENCHMAN 'Hi-Step' MAXI is our answer, designed to work effectively and safely in the garden and around the home. It is built to a very high standard using aluminium which makes it both lightweight and yet extremely strong...it weighs only 28kg. making it easy to move around .... and being aluminium, it will not rot, rust or corrode and requires no maintenance.

Incorporating a high guardrail around 3 sides of a very stable large 600mm x 600mm (2' x 2') working platform, the Hi-Step allows the user to stand safely with both hands free to operate tools and equipment as the 3-sided guardrail incorporates a clip-on safety chain to the rear of the platform to totally surround and enclose the user making it super-safe in use. The Hi-Step MAXI working platform is easily adjustable in height between 2.1m and 2.7m (7ft and 9ft) in increments of 1in ( 25mm ). this will give a possible reach of up to 15ft ( 4.5m ) or a maximum hedge cutting height of 4.2m (14ft) when stood on the platform

Each leg of the Hi-Step is individually adjustable over a range of 24in (600mm) allowing it to cope easily with uneven or sloping ground...and it will straddle flower beds,ditches and even dwarf walls. Each leg has a 4in (100mm) diameter articulated foot which will swivel and angle in all directions....spreading the load and preventing it from sinking into the ground.

The Hi-Step MAXI folds flat for transport and will easily store in a garage or lie on a vehicle roof rack, whilst an optional set of trolley wheels will make moving your henchman around even easier.

By adding the optional 1.0m (3ft) extender kit (fits under the Hi-Step without tools ) the Hi-Step MAXI reaches new heights giving you a possible 18ft reach when stood on the platform.... adds 3ft to all heights shown in the table below.
