All UK ladder manufacturers are at full stretch at the moment and whilst we stock the majority of ladders in our Droitwich warehouse, we have sold out in record time this year and we are currently awaiting many replacements, some having been on order since January 1st. But the fault doesn't lie with the manufacturers, whilst some aluminium is made in the UK, the vast majority is sourced from abroad and cannot simply be ordered on spec because it all has to be extruded. Due to the recession most companies have been keeping their stock levels low and therefore it will take at least 8 weeks to turn this around.

Once stock has arrived delivery drivers then face the daunting task of braving the floods that have now spread throughout the Thames valley and the Severn towns.Here in Worcester the main bridge into the town has been closed resulting in drivers having to follow diversions miles out of their way and running out of 'Legal Time' to deliver goods. This has had a knock on effect at all the delivery depots and the 'Well oiled Machine'  suddenly grinds to a halt. However we are all working hard to rectify the situation.

Manufacturers are sourcing aluminium from where they can. Production has increased dramatically and for the first time in years the staff are on overtime. Jenny and Sue our sales ladies have been working very hard , speaking to manufacturers and delivery depots on an hourly basis to get the latest information, then keeping customers well informed about any delays..

We are hoping that the weather will improve and everyone has a chance to repair the damage that the storms have caused.
