Videos of cats are pretty much unavoidable on the internet these days: Our fascination with these furry creatures seems to have found a foothold in popular culture, so it was inevitable that sooner or later, one would feature on this blog! There are many videos of cats using purpose built and makeshift ladders, but this video  showing a big litter of ginger kittens using their owner's trousers as a ladder, is definitely the cutest! There are even videos of cheeky squirrels climbing up people's trousers in parks, trying to steal food out of their pockets! A quick look around pinterest for animals on ladders confirms that the internet is indeed full of all sorts of climbing animals! But in real life, hamsters, mice and other small rodents look cute going up the ramps in their habitats - ramps that are a lot like chicken boards for roofing. There are pictures out there of elephants, bears, squirrels, rats, snakes, cats, goats, and many more animals, all going up and down ladders! Lastly, monkeys are another cute animal that uses ladders. They may not be using man made aluminium ladders, but they climb trees and vines with ease, like a set of makeshift ladders. Even trees where the branches cross over and meet with other trees can create a sort of ladder for a monkey. Ladders that have been installed on trees by humans for better access to the forest canopy, beehives and tree dwellings are also used by monkeys for the same reasons, but they climb much faster and with more agility than humans, as they can use all four limbs in a similar, gripping way. If you have any cute pictures of your pets or wild animals climbing ladders, please send them in, we'd love to see them! And of course if you have any animals with access problems at home come on over to the main Midland Ladders Website where we have ladders for just about every occasion!
