Here at Midland Ladders we are doing everything we can to provide our customers with the great service they are used to.  We are still processing orders and sending out stock when we can, but sadly as some of our manufacturers have temporarily closed their factories we can't always guarantee next working day delivery.  The good news is that we're still on the phones, so if you have any concerns please give us a call on 0300 303 22 99.

While we have had to cut back on the number of people on site our warehouse is large enough for social distancing measures to be observed properly and we're taking every precaution to keep ourselves and our customers safe.  If you need a new ladder and you want the convenience of home or site delivery we're your best bet for safety, quality and service.

We know that many people have used the lockdown to get home and garden improvements sorted and ladders are used in practically every part of those tasks, whether it's gutter cleaning, tree pruning or painting and decorating.  You may have found they don't have a ladder that's up to every task, so we suggest the Little Giant ladders as the answer.  These ladders can be used in 24+ different positions inside and out, even on the stairs.  If you need a stepladder your Little Giant is there waiting, ready for action.  If you need a tall extension ladder for repairs outside, it's a doddle to set up your Little Giant Classic as a straight ladder and if you're working where space is tight or limited a Little Giant offers a lot of flexibility, allowing you to adapt it to whatever purpose you need.

As lockdown measures start to be eased we know that construction will be among the first industries to resume work, so we're delighted to be able to support builders, roofers, painters, electricians and everyone who is involved in building or repair work to do their jobs safely and with the right equipment.  Ladders are easy to clean with diluted bleach, so if you're sharing a ladder with a colleague, please take precautions to stop the disease spreading via shared equipment – the same goes for any shared equipment.  It would be better to have a ladder each at this time, and they're a sound investment because they will always be needed.

It might not be easy to maintain social distancing on a building site, but a good project manager may be able to reschedule the work programme to limit the number of people on site at any one time.  This could mean all electrical work is done on one day, with next fix tasks being done the day after, or staggering these jobs over an early morning start for one team and a later finish for another.  We will only know how this works in practice when this is put to the test, but we know from our experience that it can be done safely with some adjustments to timescales and client expectations.

If you work alone then it's much easier to maintain your distance from other people, but then it is even more important that your kit is up to standard.  A faulty ladder could cause a serious accident, and with people trying to stay away from others getting help could be difficult.  There's the added risk of contracting the virus if you need hospital treatment as a result of an accident at work, so your personal safety is the most important thing to manage, especially at this time.

We will be here, appropriately distanced on our premises, and taking every possible precaution to keep our staff safe, while providing our customers with the excellent service you have come to expect from Midland Ladders.
