We stock
hundreds of different ladders and height access solutions, from single steps
and hop-ups all the way to specialist ladders for accessing tanker roofs and
grain silos.  Whether you’re after a step
ladder to use around the house, or a super tall extension ladder for DIY and
professional trade use we have got you covered, so here’s a look at the longest
ladders we carry from the main manufacturers.

Werner is a
big name in the ladder industry and they’re a brand you can trust.  They take testing very seriously and offer a
ten year warranty on their products because they’re built to such a high
standard.  Werner load test with 265kg of
weight, which is over 100kg more than the required load rating of 150kg.  Their sturdy box section stiles and D shaped
rungs are guaranteed not to twist or bend so no matter what you’re carrying up
a Werner ladder, you’ll be safe.
Stabilising bars welded to the base of their models ensures a secure
footing every time (on level ground) and their tallest model is a two section
4.9 metre ladder which gives an enormous 9.28 metres of safe working
reach.  There are 17 rungs in each
section giving a total extended height of 8.84 metres and a weight of 23.55kg.

Our next
tallest ladder is the Lyte ProLyte 5 metre double extension ladder.  Lyte are another well respected brand of
choice for the professional user and their heavy duty range of industrial class
ladders offers an extended length of 8.83 metres, giving a similar working
reach to the Werner option.  British
made, these Lyte ProLyte ladders also have a wide stabilising bar at the base
for unsurpassed stability, 17 rungs per section and a load rating of
150kg.  Tipping the scales at 23.6kg
they’re a shade heavier than the Werner option and come with a 12 month
warranty.

Zarges and
Youngman are next up with double extension ladders of 5.23 metres and 5.21
metres respectively.  The working reach
on both is 9.67 and 9.61 metres respectively with the Youngman model weighing
in slightly lighter at 23.35kg compared to the 23.9kg of the Zarges
option.  The Zarges model is the cheaper
of the two and offers a shade more height but at a heavier weight for
carrying.  Both models have a 10 year
warranty so your investment will be returned many times over whichever model
you pick.  With stabilising bars on both
and next day delivery, the choice between these two might come down to a coin
toss!

LFI have our
penultimate tallest ladder at 5.5 metres in the form of a double extension
ladder.  Another UK brand, these ladders
are tested 50,000 times to ensure they can withstand daily, regular use and as
such are the ladder of choice for many estates management and maintenance
companies.  Their tallest double ladder
offers a working reach of over 10 metres and weighs 32kg.  This heavier weight is a good trade off
against such a tall reach, and with a 5 year warranty these ladders are
designed for rigorous use.

Finally, its
Lyte again with their 6 metre rope operated double extension ladder.  When there’s a rope operation involved you
know it’s a serious bit of kit; weighing in at 47.4kg this ladder ought to be
carried and put up by two people but with a working reach of a whopping 11
metres you’d want help nearby.  Steel
plated fittings help give these mammoth ladders a sturdy feel which you want
when you’re working that high up.  With a
12 month warranty and a 50,000 cycle testing system this Lyte ladder is one you
can trust to keep you safe at the maximum reach of a straight ladder.

If you’re in
the market for the tallest extension ladder you can get, then we have the
perfect options for you to choose from.
With next day delivery, the sky’s the limit!
