Large scale
projects in potentially hazardous environments need specialist access equipment
– although fibreglass ladders are great for most tasks there are many
situations in which a fibreglass access tower is the best piece of equipment
for the job. For any tasks at heights
over around 3.5 metres, and where two people may be required for completion, a
double width fibreglass access tower is the go-to option.
The BoSS Zone
1 access towers come in both single and double width options, but it’s the
double width that allows the space for two people at the same time. The towers
are suitable for a working load of 220kg (including equipment). There is also the option of double length
platforms, so if you need a big working space for any reason these towers can
accommodate that. If you’re installing
heavy lighting in a stadium or theatre, or delicate chandelier style lights in
a home with tall ceilings then the BoSS Zone 1 fibreglass tower makes this a
cinch.
No job is too
tall for these electric-safe access towers, with the tallest having a working
height of 14.2 metres (which is just over the height of 3 double decker
buses). The smallest tower has a working
height of 3.2 metres, which is ideal for smaller scale installations in
high-end domestic houses and art galleries.
These fibreglass scaffold towers are ideal for maintenance in plants
where electrical circuits cannot be completely isolated, or in scientific
machinery fabrication and maintenance where the danger of sparking is extremely
high. They are also ideal for hazardous
environments such as refineries, power stations and anywhere else that there is
a high risk of electrocution or fire.
You get
everything you need for safe height access in hazardous environments with the
BoSS Zone 1 non-conductive access towers, including 4 trapdoor access platforms
for the tallest model allowing for safe climbing. Toe boards and end boards are included as
standard, so there’s no need to worry about items falling or being knocked off.
Many refinery
environments have ramps and different floor levels to contend with and this has
been dealt with in the design of this superior access tower, with the
adjustable leg jacks that allow for some wiggle room in setting the platform up. The heavy duty castors lock in place securely
when it is in position, but allow for the assembly of the tower to be carried
out elsewhere on site. The tower can be
easily wheeled into the exact position needed, and moved again when required.
The
integrated ladder ends allow for easy scaling, and the bright yellow colour
means that even in low light environments the relevant parts are easy to
see. Assembly can be done easily by two
people and the process has been refined and integrated into the construction of
the components (by colour coded braces and floating frame spigots) to reduce
time, energy, and the risk of breaking a vital part. Spare parts are available for every
component, so these towers can keep going on for many years even if parts are
lost or damaged.
We selected
the BoSS Zone 1 non-conductive access towers for our customers because they
represent excellent value for money and are highly flexible, with the double
and single widths available. They are
