Sales of step ladders are going through the roof in one London borough as the press descend on St Mary's Hospital to wait for the arrival of the Duchess of Cambridge when she goes into labour, sometime this month. Hoping for an elevated view of the Lindo Wing's front doors, agents of the press have been buying up the stepladders for them to stand on with their cameras, ready for the moment when Kate Middleton arrives. Given that they could be waiting up to a month, we'd probably recommend a work platform rather than a stepladder – sturdier to stand on and could double as a bed for those poor junior members who have bagged the night shift!
