Our top of the range 'Exclusive' 3 - part timber loft ladder offers real quality and style. Suitable for ceiling heights up to 2870mm the exclusive requires an opening size of 700mm wide x 1200mm long, and with its slightly gentler angle of slope @ 69 degrees (normal ladder angle @ 76 degrees), gives easy comfortable access to your loft.
The beautiful white faced masonite trapdoor is made to sandwich construction with a full 70mm of polystyrene insulation and features a full rubber seal to prevent heat loss and draughts. Lowering and closing the ladder is made simple and effortless by the double, spring counterbalance mechanism and a sturdy auto-catch secures the door when closed.... the catch is operated with a wooden pole (supplied). The ladder itself is stongly constructed using 18mm thick beech treads dovetailed into 21mm thick pine sides and folds and stores onto the trapdoor, requiring no headroom or storage space in the loft.
After installation, a moulded white pvc architrave trim is supplied to neatly disguise the joint between frame and ceiling...while the ladder is finished off at the base with a pair of angled plastic shoes for protection of carpets or flooring.
