Here at Midland Ladder Co.Ltd. we appreciate that our customers don’t always have the time or inclination to plough through pages of legal jargon and small print. Therefore we have written Terms & Conditions in plain English in order to make them as easy to understand as possible.

These Terms & Conditions apply to the supply of goods or services from Midland Ladder Company Limited trading as midlandladders.com, to you the customer, and by ordering, you agree to be bound by them. Our Terms & Conditions will take precedence over any Terms & Conditions supplied or referred to by you the customer.

No part of these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

ACCEPTANCE

When you place an order, it will be treated as an offer by you to purchase, and we reserve the right to accept, or not accept any order at our discretion. Dispatch of your goods will signify our acceptance of your order and will constitute a legally binding contract between us the seller and you the purchaser under these Terms & Conditions.

DESCRIPTIONS

All pictures and illustrations used on this site are for illustrative purposes only and show or represent the product described as accurately as possible. However, where product illustrations are unavailable or unsuitable, we reserve the right to substitute an alternative picture which most closely resembles that product.

We endeavour to provide accurate material descriptions, sizes, heights and weights of all our products, however due to the constant development of the products we supply, we cannot guarantee absolute accuracy and such information should be treated only as a guide.

PRICES & PAYMENT

All prices shown on our website include VAT and delivery within the time and geographical restrictions shown. The total price shown in your shopping cart when checking out is the price you will be charged.  A full VAT invoice will be emailed to you upon completion of the order process. Please check your email inbox for this receipt as we do not send receipts by post.You may pay for your order by cheque, electronic bank transfers or cash however we cannot dispatch any goods until cleared funds arrive in our bank account, therefore an extended delivery time must be anticipated. DELIVERY

At midlandladders.co.uk we understand that speedy efficient delivery is expected by all of our customers and experience has shown us that you need to know the exact day on which your order will arrive. For this reason your order will only be dispatched after we have agreed a convenient day on which you will be available at the delivery address to inspect and sign for your goods.

Most items offered on our site are available for immediate dispatch and our free delivery service is 24hr “Next working day” except for some smaller items which are delivered by Royal mail parcels and take 2 - 3 days. We will endeavour to notify you quickly should any items on your order be out of stock and subject to delivery delays. When placing your order, please use the comments box to inform us of your prefered delivery day together with any delivery information which may aid our couriers.
Mobile safety steps, spiral staircases and certain ‘Made to order’ products are not available on a next day service and you will be contacted by our sales team with an estimated delivery date for these items.
Please note our free delivery service applies to any weekday you wish to nominate, at any time between the hours of 8.30am to 6.00pm only. Saturday deliveries, before noon or before 10.30am deliveries are no problem as are deliveries to offshore UK islands and Ireland. However we have to make an extra charge for these premium services. When your goods arrive it is important that you check that the items are in good condition and the quantity of items received corresponds to the quantity you are signing for. In the unlikely event that your goods have been damaged in transit, you must refuse the delivery and contact our sales team immediately in order that we may dispatch a replacement quickly and minimise your inconvenience. Please inform us promptly of any shortages so that we may take the matter up with our couriers and trace the missing items. We must emphasise the importance of checking your goods thoroughly at the time of delivery as you are signing for them in good condition. Please make sure they are.

Signing "Unchecked", "Not Checked" or similar is not acceptable.

Once a specific delivery day has been agreed, we will make every reasonable endeavour to ensure your goods arrive on that day, however we shall not be held liable for any consequential losses, damages or expenses incurred by you the purchaser or any third party arising directly or indirectly out of late or non delivery of your order or part thereof.

Title and risk in the goods shall pass to you the purchaser upon delivery and receipt by our courier of a signed delivery note.

Please understand that items ordered and delivered, but refused at the point of delivery for reasons such as " too heavy", " too long", " too short" or "not suitable" will only be credited when the item is returned to us by our courier in an undamaged and saleable condition. The cost of the goods will then be credited in full, less the cost of return carriage to our warehouse. Please therefore, check all sizes, weights & descriptions carefully prior to ordering.

RETURNS POLICY

If for whatever reason you wish to return an item, you may do this at any time up to 14 days after receiving the goods* for a full refund. You must inform us in writing or by email of your intention to return the goods within this 14 day period and return the goods undamaged, in their original packaging and in a saleable condition together with the sales receipt, ensuring that the goods are adequately insured during their return journey. You the purchaser will be responsible for return carriage costs, unless the returned goods prove defective or faulty through no fault of your own, in which case we will refund the return transport costs in full. Only after we receive the returned goods in a saleable condition can we refund the value of the goods in full.

*Please note this applies to standard stock items and not to 'made to order' products such as Mobile safety steps, spiral stairs, and spacesaver stairs. Please check suitability of these items carefully before ordering, as re-stocking, delivery and collection charges will apply if you need to exchange these items.
